Ambassadors
Sandra Gidley

We are delighted that Sandra Gidley has agreed to be an ambassador for the Gift of Sight appeal.
Sandra was MP for Romsey from 2000 until 2010 during which time she was Shadow Health spokesperson for the Liberal Democrats. Sandra and her husband Bill, an electronics engineer, married in 1979 and have lived in Romsey since 1986. They have a son and daughter, who both attended local schools. Sandra was for many years a voluntary antenatal teacher with the National Childbirth Trust and has been involved with many charitable organisations and she enjoys reading, cookery, the theatre and a tough game of badminton. Sandra’s husband Bill, who has suffered with Macular Degeneration since the age of fourteen, undertook a gruelling ride by tandem with a fellow Rotarian to raise funds for Gift of Sight.
