Cathy Murphy's boxing team Cathy's 'Fight for Gift of Sight'

Cathy Murphy, a Clinical Research Nurse in Ophthalmology at Southampton, is taking on her first ever boxing match to raise money for Gift of Sight.  Every day, she sees firsthand how vital eye research is in improving lives affected by sight loss — and now she’s putting herself to the test in a completely new way to support it. From long training sessions to stepping into the ring on fight night, this is no small challenge. But knowing the impact it could make is what’s driving her forward. Please support her here:  Cathy's JustGiving page

Tegan and Kristina on a tandem with an inset photo of dan with a bikeKristina, Tegan and Dan cycling for Albinism Fellowship and Gift of Sight

Kristina is taking on the London to Brighton cycle ride as a deeply personal challenge, raising funds for both the Albinism Fellowship and Gift of Sight. Living with albinism and visual impairment, she’ll be riding a tandem with her friend Tegan as her pilot, with research orthoptist Dan Osborne riding alongside in support. Having experienced the challenges and misunderstandings around visual impairment growing up, she’s determined to help build a more inclusive future while supporting vital research into conditions like albinism and nystagmus. Kristina's JustGiving page

Fundraising coffee morning We'd love you to host a fundraising event!

A fundraising event, such as a coffee morning (or afternoon tea!) is a great way to let friends know about a cause you’re passionate about. We’d be happy to support you with any event plans. We can provide collection boxes, posters and to help share ideas. Of course we’d be delighted to come along if invited!

Please get in touch, we'd love to chat your ideas through with you!
