Memory donations

Over two million people in the UK are living with sight loss. Legacies mean that we can plan our future research with more certainty to help these people and to prevent others losing their vision.

Donations given in loving memory of relations and friends, in lieu of flowers at the time of their funeral, helps to ensure that our research continues and are a very personal gift for which we are very grateful.

Please help us change the lives of future generations who are at risk of blindness.

Thank you to all our departed donors, their friends and relations for such invaluable and kind support which is helping us move our research forward.

Mrs M H Nicholas
Children’s eye research in Southampton has been given a huge boost from a generous legacy.  Mrs M H Nicholas left her estate to be used to ‘cure blindness’ in children.
Because of her forethought we have been able to employ staff and purchase equipment to help current paediatric patients and to increase the speed with which research can be initiated.
Her kindness will be remembered by us all.

Mrs Winifred N Raymond
Our adult research projects have received a huge boost from an exceptional legacy left to Gift of Sight by Mrs Raymond.  This was an unrestricted gift which means we will be able us to use her legacy to support our vision science team and to help move our project forward at a greater speed.
We will remember Mrs Raymond's generosity into the future.
