2 August 2018 Cake Sale in entrance of University Hospital Southampton 10.00am - 2.00pm
One of our research team has to raise funds for charity as part of her term in the laboratories. If you are in the Hospital that day please pop by to purchase a cake and help our research as well.
8 August 2018 Opening night at Kuti's Brasserie, Southampton
Kuti generously invited Gift of Sight to be at the opening of the refurbished Kuti's Brasserie at Southampton Royal Pier. Many thanks to the generous guests (all invited by Kuti) for buying raffle tickets and to the companies who kindly donated prizes to help raise funds for our vision research.
19 August 2018 Open Garden at The Island, Greatbridge, Romsey SO51 0HP 10.45am
Christopher and Sarah Saunders-Davies have kindly invited us to participate in a coffee morning and garden tour of their lovely garden on Sunday 19 August.
This is a National Garden Scheme initiative, organised to highlight the well documented benefits of spending time in a garden. Refreshments will be included on arrival and guests are welcome to bring a picnic lunch and spend leisurely time soaking up the beauty of the garden, leaving by 2.30pm.

6 September 2018 Salisbury Racecourse
We will be fielding a team of volunteers to hold collection buckets at Salisbury Racecourse during the afternoon of 6 September. The first race of the afternoon will be called 'The Gift of Sight Appeal EFB Novice Stakes'. Looking forward to meeting racegoers and hoping to see some our supporters at the racecourse in the afternoon.

16 September 2018 Longstock Park Water Garden Opening : 1.00pm - 4.00pm
We are grateful to the Trustees of the Leckford Estate for allocating this date for Gift of Sight to benefit from the opening afternoon at Longstock Park Water Garden and do hope you will visit to support us. Please do look at the website to get a feel for the garden.
Admission is £6 for adults and £2 for children under 16. No charge is made for children under 3 years of age.
- The garden is accessible by wheelchair, however when the ground is wet some areas can become soft underfoot and access may be difficult.
- Only assistance dogs are allowed in the garden.
- Food and drink cannot be consumed in the garden.
- The Farm Shop & Cafe is open between 10.00am - 4.00pm (food service stops at 3.45pm)
30 September 2018 Family Fun Day
Organised by Open Sight, Hampshire this event will be held at Pavilion on the Park, Kingfisher Road, Eastleigh, SO50 9LH. Gift of Sight will be represented so please do come and chat with us. 14 October 2018 Rotary Romsey Test Way Walk
We will be hoping to enter a team again for this annual event. The event has been sponsored by Specsavers, Romsey and this year they are supporing our Corneal research team. If you have another speciality you wish your money to help please do let us know.
