Sadly the Covid-19 pandemic means that we are unable to organise any events for the time being. We are, however, delighted that ur research team are working hard and achieving great results. This is, of course, due to all the tremendous support we receive from our fabulous fundraisers, regular givers and legacy donors. We do hope to be in a position to re-schedule some events in 2021.
Helen Short Retirement from Rawlings, Alresford
Grateful thanks to Helen for requesting donations to Gift of Sight as a retirement gift from her patients. This is such a fabulous act of kindness and we wish her a long and happy retirement following a successful career with Rawlings, Alresford. Helen, her husband Martin and Rawlings Opticians have always been huge advocates of the research being undertaken in our vision science laboratories. Thanks again Helen, and all her kind patients, for this tremendous help.
Many thanks to all staff at Hampshire Branches of Rawlings Opticians who were intending to fundraise for us during 2020. The company is celebrating 125 years in business - a huge milestone and congratulations from all at Gift of Sight. Due to the coronavirus pandemic that has not been possible but Helen (above) is generously supporting us. Thank you to all her patients for their gifts in her name.
Christmas Carol Concert in Romsey Abbey
We have, regrettably, taken the decision to cancel our Concert in Romsey Abbey this year due to the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Please note that the next Concert is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 14 December 2021. We'll miss seeing everyone and hope you all stay safe and well.
