Gift of Sight Race Day at Salisbury Racecourse
The whole meeting will be raising awareness of Gift of Sight for the support it gives to vision research projects. This is an evening race meeting with the first race at around 4.15pm and the last race at around 7.15pm. Prices for tickets are shown on the Salisbury Racecourse website
Professor Andrew Lotery and Mr Jay Self will be among the team hosting a special lunch in the Gift of Sight Hospitality Pavilion with stunning views of the racecourse. This package includes entry to the racecourse, parking, a race card and a 3 course meal with coffee. The cost of a table of 10 is £1400 or a single place is £145. The price includes a suggested charitable donation of £25. Gates will open for hospitality guests at 2pm and lunch will be at around 2.30pm. There will be a raffle on the day where we hope to engage the race going public. To do that we need to obtain as many prizes as possible. Open Sight Exhibition at The Ageas Bowl, Botley Road, West End, Southampton SO30 3XH
This biennial exhibition will feature talks by Professor Andrew Lotery and Associate Professor Jay Self, who both have vision research groups in the University of Southampton.

Rotary Romsey Test Way Walk Sunday 29 September 2019
We would love you to sign up to walk for us on the annual Rotary Romsey Test Way Walk. Details are given on their website and please let us know if you sign up by emailing us at email@example.com so that we can send you a GoS polo shirt to wear. Please remember that JustGiving pages should be set up through Rotary who kindly send us your sponsorship funds, less a percentage which is kept for their own charities and to help with the cost of setting up this fabulous event. We don't have the manpower to organise an event of this magnitude and it's a great walk through some beautiful Hampshire countryside.

2020 - Te Araroa Trek by Mike Larcombe
Mike will be walking the full length of New Zealand, to raise awareness of the condition and to help fund research to work towards a cure for this debilitating disease. Please see feature about him in the Daily Echo.
He is currently aiming to commence his adventure in December 2019, hiking his way across both New Zealand's islands, South and North, with the occasional kayak where required (and to mix things up a bit). Mike will keep us updated along the way through his fabulous website.
