Pilgrims Boys Three Peaks Challenge 17 June 2018
A group of five pupils from Pilgrims School are fundraising by undertaking the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours, as their 'leavers challenge' from Pilgrims School, Winchester. Henry (Akerman), Hamish (Bain), Orlando (Fox), Hugo (Hanson) and Theo (Harvey) will be travelling to Fort William on the 16 June and the boys will undertake this tremendous test of endurance on the 17 June, accompanied by some of their Dads. Walking the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales and travelling between them in this limited time is a massive challenge - for the walkers and the backup team. 21 July 2018 Gung Ho Southampton
Sarah Kearsey and Sharon Ketley, who are both part of the clinical team at Southampton Eye Unit are organising a team to participate in the above event. Taking place on Southampton Common the 5k route takes in ten huge inflatable obstacles. Details of the team and their fundraising page will be added in due course. In the meantime do look at the Gung-Ho website and see if you'd like to sign up too!
21 July 2018 Skydive at Old Sarum
Barbara Laws has signed up to a tandem Skydive to raise funds for Gift of Sight. Her Father was registered blind and she felt she would like to help our research into blinding eye diseases. 16 September 2018 Longstock Park Water Garden Opening : 1.00pm - 4.00pm
We are grateful to the Trustees of the Leckford Estate for allocating this date for Gift of Sight to benefit from the opening afternoon at Longstock Park Water Garden and do hope you will visit to support us. Please do look at the website to get a feel for the garden.
Admission is £6 for adults and £2 for children under 16. No charge is made for children under 3 years of age.
- The garden is accessible by wheelchair, however when the ground is wet some areas can become soft underfoot and access may be difficult.
- Only assistance dogs are allowed in the garden.
- Food and drink cannot be consumed in the garden.
- The Farm Shop & Cafe is open between 10.00am - 4.00pm (food service stops at 3.45pm)
14 October 2018 Rotary Romsey Test Way Walk
We will be hoping to enter a team again for this annual event. The event has been sponsored by Specsavers, Romsey and this year they are supporing our Corneal research team. If you have another speciality you wish your money to help please do let us know.
